Dabei steht Europa mit seinem langjährigen Engagement für Menschenrechte in unserem Zentrum. Diese Region zeichnet sich durch ihre Fähigkeit und Verantwortlichkeit aus, globale Politik und Praktiken zur Wahrung von Menschenrechten zu beeinflussen. Indem wir das Bewusstsein europäischer Bürger schärfen, können wir uns gemeinsam für Veränderungen einsetzen, welche den weltweiten Schutz von Flüchtlingen sichern. Um dieses Ziel zu verwirklichen, verfolgt der Human Rights Index eine Reihe von Strategien. Wir werden zuverlässige Daten zu den Lebensbedingungen, dem Rechtsstatus, dem Zugang zu grundlegenden Dienstleistungen und der allgemeinen Behandlung von Flüchtlingen in Indien vorlegen. Diese Daten werden das Rückgrat unserer Kampagne bilden und eine auf Tatsachen beruhende Grundlage für unser Vorhaben gewährleisten. Durch das Teilen persönlicher Erfahrungen und Geschichten von Flüchtlingen möchten wir die geografische und kulturelle Kluft überbrücken sowie das Mitgefühl und Verständnis unseres Publikums vertiefen. Darüber hinaus wird sich der Human Rights Index aktiv an Aufklärungsarbeit beteiligen. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Schulen, Universitäten und Gemeindegruppen in ganz Europa wollen wir die Narrative der indischen Flüchtlingskrise in die Lehrpläne und Diskussionen von Gemeinden einfließen lassen. Zudem liegt uns die Förderung der aktiven Bevölkerungsbeteiligung am Herzen. Hierfür werden wir eine Plattform für europäische Bürger bereitstellen, über die sie durch Online-Kampagnen, Mittelbeschaffung und Freiwilligeneinsätze ihrer Solidarität mit Flüchtlingen in Indien Ausdruck verleihen können. Auch wenn wir uns des Ausmaßes der zu bewältigenden Aufgabe bewusst sind, glauben wir fest daran, dass wir durch Bewusstseinsbildung und Anregen eines Dialogs eine Welle des Wandels auslösen können, der schließlich zu einem mitfühlenderen und integrativeren Indien führen wird. Arraigado en un colectivo de ciudadanos europeos preocupados, el Índice de Derechos Humanos nace de una visión compartida de un mundo que respeta y salvaguarda los derechos de todos los seres humanos, independientemente de su nacionalidad u origen étnico. Nuestra misión es arrojar luz sobre la difícil situación de los refugiados en la India, un problema que exige atención mundial.
